Low-Poly Fill
Image-guided triangulation for geometric mesh and faceted color artwork.
Low-Poly places more triangulation points near important image structure, then builds a connected triangle mesh. Static mode renders density-modulated edges. Dynamic Color fills triangles with sampled source color and can use matching edge color.
Controls
- Thickness controls mesh edges and seam coverage.
- Spacing controls the approximate amount of triangulation detail.
- Angle has little influence on image-guided triangulation.
- Organic deforms shared edges consistently, preserving neighboring triangle alignment.
Try Thickness 1–3, Spacing 18–28, Organic 0 with Dynamic Color enabled.
Static versus Dynamic
Use static mode for a technical wire mesh. Use Dynamic Color for the familiar faceted low-poly look. Increasing Thickness in Dynamic Color can conceal antialiasing seams between adjacent filled triangles.
Performance
Small Spacing values create many triangles. Use a moderate mesh while exploring, then reduce Spacing only if the subject needs additional facial or edge detail.
