Add a new fill to your project using one of these methods:
From the Menu Bar
Go to Fill > New and choose the desired fill type from the list.
Using the Layers Panel
Click the Add new fill button (+) at the bottom of the Layers Panel and select a fill type from the pop-up menu.
In an Empty Document
If the Layers Panel is empty, click the Click to add your first fill prompt displayed in the panel and choose a fill type.
With the Pencil Tool
Select the Pencil tool.
If no fill is currently selected on the active layer, drawing on the canvas automatically creates and adds a Handmade fill.
Fills in the Layers Panel
After adding a fill using any of these methods, it appears both on your canvas (workspace) and as an item in the Layers Panel.
Here’s an example of what a Linear fill looks like when added:
Where the Fill is Added:
- Fills are added to the currently selected layer.
- If no layer is selected, Vexy Lines creates a new layer for the fill.
- If a group is selected in the Layers Panel, the fill is added inside that group.
The new fill is selected automatically, allowing you to immediately adjust its settings in the Properties Panel.
