Wireframe Fill
Flowing mesh-like paths guided by image gradients and density.
Wireframe traces paths along local image structure. The result resembles a topographic flow field or a three-dimensional surface rather than a fixed rectangular mesh.
Controls
- Thickness controls the maximum path width.
- Spacing controls seeding distance and mesh density.
- Angle biases the overall tracing direction.
- Organic perturbs path geometry and weight.
Start with Thickness 4–6, Spacing 14–22, Angle 30°, Organic 0.
Color
Static mode creates a unified technical mesh. Dynamic Color samples along paths and makes the surface more illustrative.
Tips
Wireframe responds strongly to edges and gradients. Sources with visible structure work better than flat shapes. If the result is tangled, increase Spacing and reduce Organic. If it is too sparse, decrease Spacing or strengthen the source contrast below the effect.
This is a structurally complex mode; allow Illustrator a moment to rebuild dense settings.
