Circular Fill
Concentric variable-width rings radiating from a default or user-selected center.
Circular maps the image onto closed rings. Each ring is sampled around its full circumference, so its width changes as it crosses dark and light regions. The result can resemble vinyl grooves, ripples, radar graphics, or radial engraving.
Controls
- Thickness controls the strongest ring width.
- Spacing controls the distance between rings.
- Angle has no meaningful effect on perfectly concentric geometry.
- Organic varies ring spacing and adds controlled radial wobble.
Start with Thickness 6, Spacing 12, Organic 0. Use wider spacing for a graphic record-groove look or tighter spacing for more detail.
Center
Circular starts at the middle of the source bounds. To move it, activate the target button beside Dynamic Color, then click the desired center in the document. The point may lie outside the source bounds for an off-center composition.
One click places the center and ends the picking operation. Press Esc or click the target button again to cancel without changing it. Double-click the target button to restore the source-center default. The selected center remains attached to the live effect.
Color
Static mode uses the color selected in the Linestra controls. Dynamic Color follows the sampled source colors around each ring, creating segmented radial color movement.
Circular is especially effective on centered portraits, flowers, circular products, and symmetrical compositions.
