Edit the Source Image

When you add a source image to a group, a small image icon appears next to the group in the Layers panel.

It's a reminder that every fill in the group uses that image as its reference.

To work with the image, click its icon in the Layers panel to select it. From there you can reposition it, resize it, or make other changes.

Show and hide the image

How much of the source image you keep in view is up to you, and there are two ways to control it.

To hide or show it outright, use the visibility toggle in the Toolbar:

For something subtler, fade the image with the transparency slider in the View panel:

Replace the image

To swap in a different reference image:

  1. Select the group whose source image you want to change.
  2. Either go to Layer -> Replace Source in the menu, or drag a new image into Vexy Lines while the group is selected.
  3. Position and adjust the new image as needed.
  4. Confirm, and the new image replaces the old one — every fill in the group updates to match.

Remove the image

To remove a source image from a group:

  1. Click its icon in the Layers panel to select it.

  1. Then either click the bin.svg button in the Layers panel, or press Delete (⌫) or Forward Delete (⌦).
